N8N Template: Convert LinkedIn Rejections Into "Let's Talk"

Here's a workflow we built that's borderline unfair to your competition.

When someone replies to your LinkedIn outreach, an AI agent analyzes the sentiment in real time. 

Positive reply? 

SalesRobot automatically sends your calendar link. No human needed. Easy win.

But here's where it gets clever. When someone says "not interested" or goes cold, the workflow doesn't give up. It kicks into research mode.

The system pulls the prospect's company data, runs it through an AI node, and generates a hyper-personalized follow-up message tailored to their specific role, pain point, and industry. 

That message gets queued back into SalesRobot as a new campaign step, and your SDR gets a Slack alert with the full context ready to go.

A rejection becomes a data-enriched second attempt. 

No manual research. No scrambling. Just a smarter follow-up.

The whole thing runs on SalesRobot's webhook triggers, which means it's listening 24/7. 

Set it up once, and it handles reply triage while you sleep.

How the workflow runs, step by step:

1. Trigger: SalesRobot Webhook Set up a SalesRobot webhook to fire every time a reply is received on any active campaign. This is your always-on listener, no manual checking, no delays.

2. AI Sentiment Analysis (OpenAI / Claude node) Pass the reply text to an AI node. Prompt it to classify the reply as Positive, Neutral, or Negative and return a structured JSON output. This is the decision-maker for the entire workflow.

3. Branch: If/Else node Split the workflow into two paths:

  • Positive replies → go to Step 4
  • Neutral/Negative replies → go to Step 5

4. (Positive Path) Send Calendar Link via SalesRobot Use the SalesRobot node to send a follow-up message containing your calendar link. Map the prospect's LinkedIn profile ID from the webhook payload to the message action. Outcome: warm leads book time automatically.

5. (Negative Path) Enrich the Prospect Use an HTTP Request node or an enrichment tool (e.g. Apollo, Clay, or Clearbit) to pull company size, industry, recent news, and the prospect's job title. This gives the AI everything it needs to craft a relevant second touch.

6. AI Follow-up Message Generator Feed the enriched data into a second AI node. Prompt it to write a short, non-pushy LinkedIn message that acknowledges the "no," references something specific about their business, and opens a low-commitment door ("Would it make sense to revisit in Q3?"). Output: a personalized message string.

7. Queue Follow-up in SalesRobot (14 day free trial) Use the SalesRobot API node to add the prospect to a new campaign step with the AI-generated message. The message goes into your SalesRobot queue and sends at a natural, human-paced interval.

8. Slack Alert to SDR Fire a Slack notification to your sales rep's channel with the prospect's name, company, the original reply, and the follow-up message that was queued. Your team always stays in the loop, without having to live in their inbox.

9. Log to Google Sheets (Optional) Append a row to a Google Sheet with the timestamp, prospect profile, sentiment label, and follow-up message. Build your own rejection-to-conversation conversion tracker over time.

Wrapping it up
