TL;DR

  • Cognism's Diamond Data mobiles are phone-verified by a human, and for UK and EU prospecting, the accuracy shows.
  • The compliance layer (GDPR, DNC screening across 13 to 15 countries, ISO 27001, SOC 2) is built in, not bolted on.
  • There's no pricing on the site anywhere. Every plan is gated behind a sales call.
  • Cognism finds and verifies contacts, but it won't send a single message for you.
  • SalesRobot is a cheaper, self-serve way to actually run outreach once you have the data.
Neil Patrick Harris stands against a red background with small red circles.

It's 11pm. You've been going back and forth with a Cognism sales rep for two weeks.

There's a calendar link, a discovery call, and a follow-up email promising a "custom quote." Still no number.

You just want to know if the numbers work for your team. Instead you're waiting on a Slack message from someone in procurement.

That's the Cognism buying experience in one sentence. Great product, buried behind a sales process built for enterprise budgets and enterprise patience.

Cognism: What You Need to Know

Cognism website homepage with the headline "Europe's most trusted B2B data for growing pipeline

✅ Diamond Data mobile numbers: Multiple G2 reviewers independently point to this as the reason they stick with Cognism. Numbers are physically called and confirmed by a human before they're marked verified, which is why connect rates run well above what most databases deliver.

Cognism website section on phone-verified contacts, highlighting "Spend less time calling incorrect numbers" and featuring customer testimonials.

This is expensive to do at scale, which is exactly why the verified pool is a fraction of the full database.

✅ Compliance built into the product: GDPR handling, do-not-call screening across 13 to 15 countries, and ISO/SOC 2 certification aren't an add-on here. Reviewers in regulated industries specifically call out the peace of mind this gives their legal teams.

✅ Strong Western European coverage: Reviewers consistently name the UK, Germany, France, and the Nordics as where Cognism's data is most reliable, often describing it as noticeably better than what they got from other providers in those specific markets.

⚠️ No pricing anywhere on the site: Every plan, every add-on, every tier ends at "Talk to sales." There's no way to see a number before you've already had a call.

⚠️ Employee data goes stale: Several reviewers flagged the same issue independently. Prospects who left a company months or over a year ago still show up as current, which wastes real outreach time.

⚠️ Coverage thins out fast outside core EMEA markets: Reviewers working the Middle East, Southeastern Europe, and parts of Africa describe the data there as sparse or unreliable compared to the UK and Western Europe.

What Cognism Actually Does

Sales Intelligence

Cognism website section on sales intelligence, with the headline "Turn your market into a list of the accounts and contacts that matter

This is the core product, what Cognism calls "the revenue growth centre for GTM teams." It's the contact and company database: 440 million-plus contacts, 100 million-plus mobiles, firmographic and technographic data on over 20,000 technologies.

Diamond Data® sits inside this product. It's Cognism's phone-verified mobile number layer, manually confirmed by a human before it's marked usable. Connect rates on Diamond contacts run around 3x the standard.

Sales Companion is the prospecting interface on top of the raw data, generating one-click ICP fit summaries and daily account recommendations. It tells you who to call. It doesn't dial, message, or sequence anyone for you.

Data-as-a-Service

Cognism website section on data integration, titled "Cognism data, wherever you need it."

This product delivers Cognism's data directly into your warehouse, via API or bulk delivery, rather than through the web app. API access requires a Sales Intelligence seat, but bulk delivery is available as a fully standalone product.

It's built for teams that want to pipe Cognism data into Snowflake, internal tools, or their own systems rather than have reps search the platform manually.

CRM Enrichment

Cognism website section explaining "How it works", focusing on "Fix missing or outdated records

A standalone product focused entirely on keeping CRM records accurate over time. It enriches records at scale, improves CRM coverage and data quality, and supports segmentation, routing, and reporting.

It works alongside Sales Intelligence, but you don't need a prospecting seat to buy it.

Integrations

Cognism's connective layer, syncing data into the tools reps already use daily: Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Microsoft Dynamics, Bullhorn, Salesloft, Outreach, and Zapier. This isn't sold separately, it's the plumbing that makes the other three products usable inside an existing tech stack.

Compliance Engine

This runs underneath all four products rather than being its own line item. GDPR handling, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certification, and do-not-call screening across 13 to 15 countries. For a team selling into Europe, this is doing real work behind the scenes, and it's the reason enterprise legal and procurement teams actually approve the purchase.

If your cold calling motion touches the EU, this compliance layer is the part that gets you past procurement.

Intent Signals

Cognism uses Bombora Company Surge for account-level intent, plus native triggers like funding events, hiring surges, and leadership changes. Useful for prioritizing which accounts to work first.

Worth flagging: intent here is account-level only. There's no contact-level intent at any pricing tier.

Where Cognism Falls Short

The US and APAC Coverage Gap

Ask any Cognism user outside Europe and you'll hear the same thing. Coverage in the US is workable but thinner than ZoomInfo or Apollo, and APAC data is sparse.

If your pipeline is majority US, Cognism is solving a problem you don't fully have.

No Sending Layer

This is the big one. Cognism finds and verifies contacts. It does not send emails, run LinkedIn automation, or sequence outreach in any channel.

You still need Outreach, Salesloft, or something similar for email. You still need a separate tool for LinkedIn. Cognism ends at the data.

The Enterprise Price Floor

There's no public pricing, but third-party estimates put the floor around $16,500 a year for the lightest plan, with a 25-seat setup running well over $80,000 a year before add-ons. That math only works if you're already big enough to need it.

Credit System Friction

Reveals, enrichment, and exports all run on a shared credit pool. Multiple G2 reviewers mention credits not rolling over month to month, and Diamond Data credits specifically running out fast under high-volume outreach.

Cognism Pricing Breakdown

Cognism runs three product lines: Sales Prospecting, CRM Enrichment, and Data-as-a-Service. None of them list a price on the page. Every CTA says "Talk to sales."

The Real Cost

Third-party TCO breakdowns put a realistic 25-user annual budget at $143,000 to $184,000 once you add the engagement and deliverability tools Cognism doesn't include. That's the number that matters more than the license fee.

Why We're Even Talking About SalesRobot Here

[Image: SalesRobot website homepage, advertising a "Two-in-one LinkedIn and cold email automation tool" with the headline "Message 100s of people on LinkedIn and cold email. Every Week. Automatically." — upload failed]

Here's the honest answer before we go further. Cognism and SalesRobot are not solving the same problem, and we're not going to pretend they are.

Cognism finds and verifies who to contact. SalesRobot automates actually reaching them on LinkedIn. One is a data layer, the other is an execution layer.

The reason this comparison exists at all is the price floor. Cognism is built for teams that already have the budget and the EU compliance requirements to justify $16,500 a year and up. A lot of smaller teams and agencies land on Cognism's site, see the price reality, and realize they're not that team yet.

If that's you, the question isn't "Cognism or SalesRobot."

It's "do I actually need enterprise data infrastructure right now, or do I need a cheaper way to book meetings on LinkedIn while I grow into that budget."

What SalesRobot Actually Does

Cloud-Based LinkedIn Automation

SalesRobot runs campaigns from the cloud. Your laptop can be closed and the sequence keeps going, no browser tab required.

That matters more than it sounds like. Chrome-extension tools stop the moment you close your laptop, and they're easier for LinkedIn to flag.

AI Personalization at Scale

A screenshot of a campaign creation interface with a "Select AI Variable" pop-up window.

SalesRobot's AI variables read each prospect's LinkedIn profile and write a unique opening line per person. That's different from tools that send the same template to everyone and swap in a first name.

If you've ever run LinkedIn outreach with generic templates, you already know why reply rates tank.

Safe Mode and the Real Ban Rate

SalesRobot runs each account on a dedicated cloud IP, not a shared one. The actual ban rate across the platform is 0.004%.

That number matters if you've ever had a LinkedIn account restricted mid-campaign. It's the single most common fear we hear from new users, and it's the one number worth checking before trusting any automation tool.

Managed Service and White-Label

Pricing starts at $59 a month if you want to run campaigns yourself. If you'd rather hand it off, the managed service runs $397 a month and covers strategy, copywriting, list-building, and campaign management.

Agencies can also run the whole platform white-labeled under their own domain. Clients never see SalesRobot in the loop.

SalesRobot Whitelabel ➡️

Where SalesRobot Falls Short

SalesRobot doesn't have a contact database, phone-verified mobile numbers, or a GDPR-specific compliance engine built for enterprise procurement reviews.

If your core need is verified EU phone numbers for cold calling, SalesRobot isn't built for that job, and we won't pretend otherwise. That's Cognism's lane.

SalesRobot Pricing

Pricing plans: Basic, Advanced, Professional, and Enterprise.
Tier Price Best For
Basic $59 / LinkedIn account / month Solo users running low-volume outreach on a budget
Advanced $79 / LinkedIn account / month Individuals or small teams wanting full automation without team management
Professional $99 / LinkedIn account / month Agencies and B2B sales teams needing team management and activity control
Enterprise Custom Larger teams wanting dedicated onboarding and a Customer Success Manager

All three paid tiers come with a 14-day free trial.

The Bottom Line

Pick Cognism If

You're an EMEA-focused team with a real compliance requirement, an established budget above $15,000 a year, and a pipeline that depends on phone-verified European mobile numbers.

Pick SalesRobot If

You need to book meetings on LinkedIn now, your budget doesn't stretch to enterprise data infrastructure yet, or you're an agency managing outreach across multiple client accounts.

Or Run Both

Plenty of teams do exactly this. Cognism supplies the verified contact, SalesRobot runs the LinkedIn outreach sequence on top of it. Neither tool needs to replace the other, because neither one was built to do the other's job.
